Background Information:
Jade Mountain was a symbol of cultural colonization during the Japanese reign, and was socially constructed as the simulation of Mountain Fuji in Japan.
Being the highest mountain in Taiwan, Jade mountain also stands for the highest achievement. The process of climbing it is also a metaphor of competing for success.
